Lightfoot makes Fleet & Mobility Live 2024 a carbon neutral event

Working in partnership with Fleet News, Lightfoot was able to offset the carbon emissions of visitors to Fleet & Mobility Live on 8th – 9th October.

We had carbon offset information stations dotted around the event where attendees could log their journey details, including which mode of transport they used to reach the show and how far they travelled. People had journeyed to Fleet & Mobility Live in a variety of ways, including by petrol and diesel car, EV and PHEV, and on public transport such as the train.

Using the information we collected, we were able to work out that the average visitor was generating 16.2kg of CO2 by travelling to the show. Across the 2,000 odd visitors, this amounts to 32.4 tonnes of carbon emissions.

We will now be planting trees in the Lightfoot forest to offset all of these emissions, officially making this year’s Fleet & Mobility Live a carbon neutral event!
