Lightfoot reaches a new record of 1 billion miles

2024 saw us reach a new milestone here at Lightfoot, with a record 1 billion miles being travelled across the year by vehicles equipped with our driver coaching technology.

The total distance covered by Lightfoot drivers in 2024 was 1,063,911,619 miles – a 15% increase from the 924,650,184 miles driven in 2023. This figure equates to 42,727 trips around the world, and resulted in a saving of 42,360 tonnes of CO2 thanks to the safer, steadier, and more sustainable driving style that Lightfoot’s in-cab devices help fleet drivers adopt.

Commenting on the new record, here’s what Lightfoot CEO Paul Hollick had to say:

“Hitting the billion-mile mark in 2024 is a major milestone for Lightfoot and our customers. This demonstrates that our technology is now an integral part of at-work driving for a vast number of businesses, and such growth and high mileages produce proven results in terms of reducing fuel use, increasing electric range, and minimising accidents.

“When you think about the sheer scale of what Lightfoot is now achieving, it’s remarkable. When our customers are driving such distances, Lightfoot’s tech can have a massive impact on costs, downtime, and emissions.

“With one billion miles now hit, we are very excited to see what remarkable things can be achieved between ourselves and our partners in the next billion.”
